Exploring A Culture Through Its Food

Welcome to Eatlosophy! I travel on my stomach, and as a result, has eaten a lot of food all around the world. People often said that travel helps open your mind. I think this statement is so true. You can’t imagine how different life is in another place until you see for yourself. When you travel to another part of the world, remember to keep an open and respectful mind. The way things work in other countries is not the way things work back at home. Eatlosophy.com was created to highlight great food, travel, and culture to more readers.

Eat Local | Ditch Your Rules

When you go to a foreign country, discover where the locals eat for a more authentic experience. I tend to eat more healthy while at home but when I travel I switch to a different mode. Finding authentic foods does not always translate into finding Michelin-Starred restaurants. I enjoy fine dining but some of my best travel memories come from trying local comfort foods. I enjoy strolling down the beautiful streets in the morning, getting Churros con choclate for breakfast in Spain. Walking in the vibrant night markets at 11 pm eating Gua Bao pork bun with bubble milk tea in Taiwan. Having Oden from yatai (carts and stalls) on a cold winter’s night in Japan and more! Travel creates a memory that you will remember for a long time!

“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did.”
